Rae Emily George - About

Hi, I'm Rae

I’m a professional voiceover actor with a home studio. My voice has been described as young, hazy, delicate, full of character and warmth.

Hi, Im Rae

I’m a professional voiceover actor with a home studio. My voice has been described as young, hazy, delicate, full of character and warmth.

I’m also a freelance theatre maker interested in contemporary performance and creative tech, always looking for different ways to tell weird stories and make you feel something new.

Helping you tell stories with impact

There’s a lot of noise in the world today. Human stories are more important now than ever, especially in the way they connect us to each other.

I help make that connection stronger.

Problem solving for creatives since 2017

I’ve always been a daydreamer, second only to my first love - problem solving.

Now I use my imagination and artistic curiosity to solve problems for all sorts of people in all sorts of ways.

From carving out the most effective voiceover deliveries to re-imagining live and theatrical work for digital spaces. If there’s a creative conundrum to solve, I’m all in.

From acting to theatre making to voiceover and beyond

Though I was a very shy kid, I have always loved acting. Imagination games and daydreaming became evenings at drama classes, a GCSE drama performance I took very seriously, and a BTEC in performing arts that I loved with my entire heart.

Along the way, theatre became more than just a place to do the acting. Crafting experiences became everything I was about. Everything was theatre, and performance was a way of living the experience.

Then Covid happened. Imagination came in handy once again when it was just me and the plug-in microphone in a little cupboard at the top of the stairs.

These days, I perform more in the booth than I do on stage, and my work in theatre leans increasingly towards immersive, sensory, and gamified experiences.

Collaboration first and foremost

I am a listener first, speaker second. In my experience, connection is built from feeling heard, and that knowledge is what I bring into all the creative work that I do.

An international gal in the south west of England

Proudly based in Bristol, UK

I moved to Bristol shortly after moving to the UK in 2014 and I’ve been here every since. Conveniently placed for collaboration, I’m just 90 minutes from both London and Birmingham.

Proudly raised in Hong Kong

I lived in Hong Kong for the best part of twenty years growing up. As a third culture kid, internationality plays a big part in my creative practice and in how I engage with the world.

Always learning

I’m a non-stop learner. It keeps me current, keeps my skills warm, and keeps me open to all sorts of new challenges and experiences.

Here’s a handful of the amazing mentors/ coaches/ teachers that have shaped my professional creative life so far.
